Always Remember the First of September

The 1st of September will never be forgotten by those impacted by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. Rebuilding is still happening and I hope to be back on Green Turtle Cay in November to document more work from amazing NGOs.

This is one of my more compelling images shot shortly after the hurricane. This was on December 3rd, 2019. The fire in the background is the Abaco pine forest on Great Abaco Island. The trees were killed by the salt of the storm surge and destructive winds.
