Search the web for properties
Find a real estate agent you trust
Acquire a lawyer you can trust even more
Place an offer - these are more casual than our U.S. experience and didn’t require anything signed
Go back and forth a couple of times with bids
Once accepted, plan to wait months to get documentation (Our case took a bit longer because both the buyer (us) and the seller were U.S. citizens. So, the seller’s paperwork took a bit longer than in The Bahamas (maybe) and there was a mistake on their end with the paperwork which extended the sale by may a month. Then, as you’ll see in the video, we had our own mistake. We waiting seven months to “close” on the property.
